ILL ADVISED WISDOM

All of have us have some intelligence . this intelligence used in life in proper way and well judged while use grows in to wisdom . this wisdom is earned , learning through experience and modifying once behavior towards goodness and moral qualities that are socially acceptable. society calls it wisdom . but there is a black and dark side of the development of this raw intelligence , because of different factors and circumstances some time due to bad company , broken family , that i call ill advised and ill judged intelligence and those who use it , practice it and are in the nature of it , think themselves wise . society call them clever , cunning , crafty , tactful and tricky .
I call them ill advised because they do not know that they are moving in wrong direction . this is great irony that imprudent thinks that he is prudent . a person who knows not and knows not that he knows not . Osho says , " when a mad man comes to know that he is mad , he is not mad , he has been cured , he should be released from the hospital ." Yaksha in Mahabharat is answered by Yudhisthir that greatest wonder in this world is that people are dying every minute , all will have to die but those who are alive say , " I WILL NOT DIE " this is what happening with these ill advised wise persons .
A gentleman who tells a lie or gives a false statement or steals or deceives the other or commits any thing that is not approved by society , he thinks that he has clicked some wisdom in particular and be -fooled the other and he calls himself wise and expert . but really he is wrongly in the ditch of self deception . he deceived one , then second , then third and hundred , one at a time (one has been his victim , once at one time ) but that ill behavior has hit him and his mind and conscious , hundred times and this has become his habit and nature. now he can not help it and one day or the other he is in the net . on the one hand he is ill-famed as a criminal , a man of bad name (a bad man is better than a bad name ) on the other he may make good journey to police station , court and finally to jail . see ! every one knows that jails are over crowded and in these jails criminals are being kept and none else . i asked many criminals to know if they had ever thought of visiting jails because of their ill- doings and the answers were mostly in " NO " . i know of many who being in big , good and great places fell in the traps of ill- fate and never expecting what fallowed in the ending part of their lives that did not seem to be worth of their positions .
I wish and hope that we should try to know and evaluate ourselves now and then to see where we are going wrong or otherwise. i also think that prayer and humble submission to God may lead us to right path but before this we will have to be simple and plain and also avoid to impress that we are wise . God may help us to do that . KNOW THYSELF is old and known maxim of Indian Culture and Philosophy. TO be simple and TRUE is the best to be safe and secure with grace of GOD .

BIG AND GOOD

learn to grow big and bigger and the same time learn too , to be good . here big word represents , all that you earn yourself and husband and achieve in your worldly life using the body and mind that you have inherited and got from God or Nature as your born potentials , gift and talent . that is your academics , post , position , place , health and wealth . suppose you are a poet , philosopher , business man , leader , secretary , HOD , doctor ,IAS , engineer and so on . this achievement , whatsoever it may be is important and of very good worth . but this is one aspect of your personalty , the half and not the better half .
now comes the other side of the coin . that is goodness . good and goodness have vast meaning . good is an adjective that can be used any and every where . see ! good doctor = who diagnose the best ; good teacher= who commands the respect of students ; good lawyer = who wins the case ; good knife = sharp to cut ; good criminal = not easy to be traced out . good , thus enhances the intrinsic quality of the thing or person with that added to . so on the other hand we want a good man . a man with all intrinsic human qualities . sympathy , kindness , hospitality , helping attitude , fellow feeling , polite manners , simple , sober , and all virtues that a noble gentle man mus have . it is good to be important , no doubt , but it is very very and more important to be good . here i would like to give only one example that of Great English writer and states man , Bacon who is known in history as GREATEST and THE MEANEST ever born . i would like to say that a person an IAS is very competent , successful and sincere to his work and duties with only exception , that he smokes on occasions , very often . but it would have been better , had he not been so . then i would call him , the perfect . let me conclude with this common saying , " it is good to be important but it is more important to be good ." Greatness without Goodness is not humane , worthless and meaningless .

MAKING OF AN INDIVIDUAL

human life is very short and precious and if not properly developed against time ,one is left to regret . out of my own experience and learning , i would like to submit some points.
1 - Mostly people are busy in watching , others doing (vicarious player = imaginary player in the place of real payer) yes , you can enjoy any game or cinema or dance or any act of an artist for your entertainment for a while to make you fresh for your job or work . those whom you watch are making money and their career out of your unwisely wasting time . even the honey bee making honey and you are the only unbusy thing doing nothing . see and try to make your career . do some thing as of your ability and duty . think yourself , what are you doing ?
2 - do not waste your precious time in criticizing others . no one is perfect but every one has some / at least one quality , see that if of any use to you . yes ! if have some time ; i say find some time to see your short comings and try out means and ways to improve them . some English writer writes , - " do not kill your time by assassinating others character . this act of mean mentality weaken your own personalty . you have choice to praise any one you like .
3 - Fear to Gd or moral law or duty or your post or position or your dignity or any thing or person that you choose . only one to whom you have to be fearful , at least , and then be fearless in doing your business .
4 - Be aware where you are and what you are doing . attentively and with all your might keep your mind and body , where your you are working and what you are working . generally we are doing one thing and thinking of another thing . bodily in the class room and mentally at home , bodily at home and mentally in class room . walking then walk only ;talking then talk ; touching then feel it ; dealing then deal it . but this is not in practice , we are doing one , thinking other. this make you working fruitless , all your doings ending in undone . divided aim and sick hurry are the main causes of corruption and failure. this exercise is difficult , no doubt but easy after little practice and i recommend that this is great clue to learning and memory .
5 -Have much patience in making of career and personality . do not think of failures , make efforts as per your ability and circumstances available to you . take hardship as boon and go on with it , it makes stronger and gives power. if you are poor , have pride in it , if weak , try to grow strong . see ! you are not your choice on this earth , only help and cooperate and accept and try that you can . yours is a mission , let it be completed . no other will come to do it . have patience . your mission is exclusive .
6- Have good will for all and hate to none . who is your friend be faithful to him and love even he does not in certain circumstances . those who are not friendly to you try to befriend them , at least wish and pray and see , he will become your friend . have love and good will for all living creators .
7 - Have prayer every day and any time you find fit . be humble and help those whom you can and those needy . this is my firm belief that PRAYER can do all and any . the only power on earth is the power of prayer with wordless humility.

It is said . God was one , all alive , having three aspects ; 1- existence 2- consciousness 3 - bliss or pleasure . three in one . this was / is HIS Potential , property , ability and out of this very quality HE thought to manifest Himself in many and in many in twos . ( if you take God as a person , He created ) He became / made , matter and mind ; good and bad ; man and woman ; day and night ; life and death ; sun and earth ; pain and pleasure ; darkness and light ; ignorance and knowledge and so on and so forth .
A great poet Tennyson says , " God is in the heaven and every thing right with the world ." i accept this statement of a wise man who out of his great learning , experience and talent . we in our personal lives , some time confused and think that God would have done , this or that thing or event in another way . really this other way suits us in that particular matter and that is the judgment of our prejudiced and selfish desire . once we understand and accept that the Super Mind of God is the BEST and what has happened is / must be right , we begin to grow wiser and wiser . when we go through human history of the world we find that all those who were /are recorded as great and wise said the same thing that Tennyson said . in our country , Lord Ram who was banished by his father ,took it as right and the end was great victory of truth on untruth. in Europe when Jesus was put on cross , he said , " O God Thy will is being executed ."
i really waned to say that the more and more we learn and grow wise the better we find harmony and unanimity and justice and proper arrangement in this Universe and creation . the more and more we learn , the concepts of caste and creed ; community and religion ; country and culture , science and philosophy fall out and a unity comes to our eyes of understanding that gives unique pleasure and contentment . how the things , we debate and fight at , look bogus and irrelevant . Divine Life that is called by Aurvindo .
One thing more and very important that the more we learn to be wise and experienced , we learn to use all those things in our lives that are known to be of demerits . say , we can use our bad instincts for good purposes . we use power to save weak ; use wealth for ill and poor ; anger to ill-doings ; hate to undesirable ; atomic -power for energy and development , say every thing commonly known to be bad in this world . even waste and harmful things are turned into medicines by our wise scientists . we begin to see good things in all and every thing and good in every human being . this is what we can say , the more we come nearer and nearer to the eternal and real knowledge the more we become with it and a concept of unity and propriety reveals the truth . life grows easier and easier ;better and better ; sweet and superb ; confusions disappear and knowledge dawns. then we also understand the truthfulness of the statement of Tennyson and this world begins anew , worthy to live and enjoy . let us try ,with other things in life , learn to live .

ACTION AND RESULT

Much has been talked and talked about of action and the result of action . in India the theory of Gita is famous and popular that action is your duty or concern not the result . but i would like to interpret and say that you are free to take and initiate action but you can not decide of results . to make it more clear you can say that we are free and independent to have a beginning , a start , a new action of our own choice but we can not have an END of our choice . this end is called result . again be clear , you are free in choice of action but you can not have desired result . why ? because , it is action that decides the results not the actor . as you show , so shall you reap . in reality ,the action itself changes into results ; or say action itself is result . your authority lies in making choice of taking action and if you have taken a wrong decision to take a wrong action the result inevitably would be wrong . the action is the result and you have taken the decision to take that action .you are responsible for the result . so do what you like and have the results . if action once taken , good or bad , results are there. in no case you can spare yourself from those results that is the ripe fruit of your action . even God can not save you . ( if you want to take His help , HE can help you in making new decisions in taking new action that will produce new result. this is the only meant of prayer to GOD .) Therefore we should always be alert while deciding of any action smallest of smalls to be taken .
in Gita , any way action and result are bifurcated but Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) born in East Prussian city of Konigsberg and brought up and educated there and again teacher in the same university , who never went out of his city ; said in his Master Work MORAL LAW ** That there is no result whatsoever . it is only and only action that counts . he says , -Good is intrinsically good . its value is wholly self contained . it is not value but virtue . Good is perfectly Universalized moral law and Categorical imperative and utterly independent of external value and external relation . it is not sure , that Good action will produce achievements that are happy and worldly paying. Good action does not depend on the result it manages (SEEM to be results ) to produce as the consequences of human action . action should be taken as duty , duty in the necessity to act out of reverence for the Law (Universal Law ) . Moral Law has the formal property of Universalizability by virtue of which it can be used and applied at all times to every person who wants to be a moral agent . speak truth , because you should ; be regular because you should . think of no payment , speaking truth is well paid. it is virtue , good in itself .
it is said in GITA किम कर्मं किम अकरमं इति कवयः अपि अत्र मोहिता । what should be done and what not is hard to see . Kant gives one clue . Law of Universal Law . the action that you want to take should be put on this law. be yourself the law maker of the Universe and see if this action that you are going to take can be applied with every one and every where in the world . if can not be applicable , do not take that action . a simple example , -if you want to steal others things , make it a Universal law. then ? every one will free to steal and this law is not universally applicable so fails to be as an action to be taken .
choice of action is a serious matter. so decide before action. even in taking very very small actions , think and rethink and think again , take the help of those who deserve , pray to your God and then decide . you will have to have the results . yes , no doubt you are free to take any action , you like to take . ACTION IS RESULT.

ट्रुथ IS UNIVERSAL AND ONE

TRUTH has no caste , no community , no party , no class , no religion and no nation . it is neither western nor eastern . we should not think like isolationist and in modern world , now a global village , we should try to be temperamentally internationalist . in my opinion , Indian culture has this orientation . we send abroad , our saints , scholars , scientist , engineers , artist , artisans , professionals , traders , industrialist and even workers ,working conscientiously as our unofficial cultural ambassadors ,we are neither expansionist nor believe in conversion .
now it is useless to argue of east and west in almost all things , in science in particular and in ways of life in general . but culture has a difference because of geographical and climatic factors . in the world society and market India has enough to contribute in the matter of way of living and philosophy and thought and spirituality. although in matters of science Indians had the hypotheses that were discovered by western thinkers in labs as in the time of that called renaissance , Indians were striving hard for their existence and freedom from foreign rulers for hundred of years .
see ,theorem of pythagorus by king clement of Alexandria as the pupil of a Brahman । Dialectical of Hegel and Marx was established by Kapil Muni thousand years earlier. it is earth that goes round the sun was known by Arya Bhatt years before 1000 ,Copernicus . materialism was a theory of Brihspati centuries back than of Democratus . असतो सत् ajaayatah ** existence out of nonexistence . scientific concept of space and time explained by Einstein was enunciated long long back by Vedant and still uncontradicted . scientific defnition of of matter by Heisenberg was there in India esablished by great rishi Patanjali.
we could not do these things of scientific researches for simple reason as we were throughout engaged in the life and death struggle on a national level and international plane. but it is fact that Indian thought and science migrated to Greece via Arabia and Parcea before the European Renaissance which was preceded by the Dark Age of Europe. Newten says , " if i have been able to see further than others , it was because i stood on the shoulders of Gaints ." the circle goes like this -- Eastern >>Europe >>Eastern ( India ) and now getting tempered ><>< .. all knowledge is universal . it was and is , manifestation of universal mind through great scientist and thinkers some times in east and some times in west . some times in art and some times in literature and science and so on and ao forth. we are one caste i.e. Human being ; THE MAN ON EARTH.

VIRTUE , NOT VALUE

today , i have a news of a seminar on human values held by UPTU LKO and Kabir Shanti Mission . i take the pretext and would like to say , nay , not human values but virtues . see what value means , -the worth , desirability , utility , worth to be paid in term of money , place , post or position ; value for market , any market . is man marketable ? yes , western people call themselves intellectuals and modern , talk of human values and we Indian ( not all but many ) follow them and talk rather more on values . on other hand , our Indian culture talks on virtue (western too , but we do not want to follow them because of not being easier edition to understand and follow .) now see , what virtue means , - moral excellence , uprightness , goodness patience , chastity , an angelic being of celestial order . now we can easily decide whether our educationist need value or virtue . i say , both , first virtue and then value . we are already . giving value education . all formal and technical education is value education and what we are talking of human values that is virtue not value . value is paid , where virtue sacrifice ,
we should be aware how our intellectuals are enamourd of westernism , thy call it standard for them Kalidas is Shakespeare of india Samudragupt , Napoleon ; SardarPatel , Bismarck. we recognize Vivekanand and Tagore when they did so .
that is why i ask my teachers to read , be scholars , go through your country , its history , culture and scriptures . we read comments on Gita done by some one in Oxford . we read , made easy , i.e. Ram Katha by Narendra Kohily not the original Ram Charit Manas by Tulasidas or Ramayan by Valmiki .we are loosing our Indian way of thinking .
by the grace of God we possess all the factors that go to make any country great and strong ,to say ; the material wealth , human resource , intellectual power but due to lack of national will and feeling of self confidence we not making the expected progress .we are second to none in all these matters and now time has proved it . national will and national unity is the demand of the hour . that needs to be added to our young people is virtue which has power to root out the great evil in the different forms of corruption , viz. futility , lack of living faith , the drift into loose morality , greed , financial irresponsibility , bad temper , self -opinionated and obstinate individualism violence , suicide , impatience reverence for life , reverence for public and state property , the exploitation of sex , debasing of language , commercializing of religion superstitions , venality and leg-pulling hypocrisy dishonesty caste and class wars , falsification and exploitation of poor and hapless . all said above ,can be only overcome by a virtuous man . we need one and need to grow develop and produce for emerging NEW INDIA . only words will not do . let us see and try ,
