The government of one's self is the only true freedom for the development of an individual . the man who has gone above the common social rules meant for ordinary citizens is the ideal one . he follows the golden rules of the life that are expected from an ideal citizen. J.J. Rousseau says , " man is born free but he is every where in chains ." self discipline and self control are the key that make an individual grow in full. this is an effort and its result of an individual that goes every minute and in each and every smallest action .
It is in length of practice and endurance and forbearance , that so much of what is good in mankind is shone. in the words of Shakespeare , looking before and after , one should try to build his nature and habits without any slip or sickness and see that smallest of his duties ,he performs without any delay or procrastination in all sincere ans earnest manner .
The self control is the root and special trait of character of man that distinguishes between man and animal . man is moral and ruled by moral rules as animals are ruled by their body and senses , say man leads a moral life and animal a physical life . man has mind and power of discretion . he knows the right and wrong . he knows that , honor and profit do not always lie in the same sac .
The formation of character and Samskars ( mind prints ) starts in home by mother first , then by family members , then by school and finally by the society in which he lives . IN India we have the theory of Great-Mothers but now a days in the name of equality we are talking of Great -Women . mother and father are compliment to each other .the are two in one . In our culture Ram and Sita are one . there is no question of equality . they are on the same horse .
A noble heart does teach a virtuous scorn to benefits unfair ; scorn to lie ; scorn to do wrong ; scorn to bear any injury against any one even against one's enemy ; to scorn narrow mindedness and ill feelings ; to scorn inequality of any kind with any one ; to scorn ill-will with any .
A person to whom his mind to him a kingdom is , is above the common social and moral rules meant for ordinary citizens. people in common follow the rules and the man of self control rules the life . he is with society and with Nature and leads a divine life . some time these are the people , who are called God on Earth . it is not because of parentage nor post nor position nor education but the qualities of a MAN . this man can be a illiterate farmer or a businessman or a school teacher or a clerk , any of the very common clay , of Earth origin . every drop of action and atom of thought makes a man of men . self awareness , every minute , is the clue to success . .
